ADM FOOTBALL VS. WINTERSET
By COLE BOSWELL
The Tigers played their second game
of the season and home opener under the Friday Night NEW lights. The field was brilliant and so were the
Tigers as they trounced the Winterset Huskies 48-14. Though moments in the first quarter seemed a little shaky,
once the team got into its game, the players were practically unstoppable.
Quarterback senior Kyle Herrick,
who was putting the finishing touches on his varsity debut, “felt a lot more
comfortable and learned from my mistakes in the previous game.” When things got rough we “did a really
good job of believing we could battle back.”
Games stats included Jordan Grove
gaining 208 yards, Kyle Herrick passing 314 yards, and Zach Ostendorf and Ethan
Eckhoff each making five tackles.
The Tigers travel to Glenwood
September 7th for their first district game. Herrick believes that the road trip “will
actually help us because it will improve our focus and give us more time to
prepare for the game.”
